Every post-construction clean covers the full work area: offices, corridors, restrooms, breakrooms and entryways. We bring all cleaning supplies at no extra cost. We never subcontract. Our crews are hired in-house, insured and bonded, so the people on your site are our own employees. A supervisor inspects every job before we hand the space back to you.
We work around your trades. Ahlers schedules cleans after hours, on weekends, or in phases as each floor is released, so your handover date holds.
Not happy with your current janitorial or cleaning company? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
Our full guide to post-construction cleaning walks through the rough, final and touch-up stages in detail, with a checklist you can hand to your site manager.
Construction cleanup is not one job. It is three, and each happens at a different point in your build. Booking the right stage keeps your crews productive and protects the finishes you just paid for.
This happens after framing, drywall and mechanical work. We clear bulk debris, sweep the slab, remove packaging and stickers, and open up sightlines so inspectors and trades can move. A rough clean keeps dust out of new ductwork and cuts the final clean down to size.
This is the detail pass before handover. We remove drywall dust from every horizontal and vertical surface, clean interior glass and frames, scrape paint and adhesive from hardware, wipe out cabinets and casework, sanitize restrooms and breakrooms, then scrub, buff or vacuum every floor. Most handover disputes start with dust on a window ledge. This pass removes that risk.
Punch-list work always kicks up more dust. We return after the last trade leaves and re-clean the affected areas so the space is client-ready on opening day. Many general contractors book this stage the morning of the walkthrough.
Drywall dust is not ordinary dust. It is fine, alkaline and electrostatic. It settles into carpet fibre, sits on top of ceiling tiles, and clings to the inside of return air vents. A standard janitorial pass will not lift it.
We use HEPA-filtered vacuums, microfibre systems and pH-correct cleaners matched to each new surface. New grout, sealed concrete, luxury vinyl tile and powder-coated metal each need a different chemistry. The wrong cleaner on a fresh finish leaves streaking or etching that the builder ends up paying for.
We also clean top-down and in sequence. Ceilings, ducts and light fixtures come first, walls and glass next, floors last. Cleaning out of order simply moves the dust around.
We serve commercial sites of 5,000 square feet and up across Lenexa, Overland Park, Olathe, Leawood, Mission, Parkville, Lee’s Summit and the wider Kansas City metro.
We can start as soon as the trades release the area. Most clients book a rough clean mid-build and a final clean two to three days before handover.
We remove trash, packaging, dust and light debris. Bulk material such as lumber, drywall offcuts and fixtures is the contractor’s dumpster load, though we can coordinate the haul-off if you ask.
Price depends on square footage, build stage and finish type. We quote from a walkthrough rather than a phone estimate, and the bid is free with no obligation.
